Every website in the Digital Age now should be optimized for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) from the ground up. We see so many sites that are not optimized for the keywords they are working to rank on. In many of these cases, there are a few simple ways you can optimize your site for SEO.
- Ensure Your Website is Mobile Friendly
With the push towards Mobile-Indexing first by Google, if your site is not mobile friendly it will not rank well on Google which means that potential customers will have a harder time finding your site.
- Customize and Optimize Your Page URLS
The best way to optimize your URL is to use each to remember wording that is related to the content on the page and the keywords you are working on for that page. Don’t stuff keywords for the sake of stuffing–make sure your content matches your URL target.
- Optimize Title Tags
Optimizing Title Tags should be a fairly straightforward process for every web developer, but we still see sites that don’t have them optimized. The biggest advice again, do not keyword stuff here! Use your Primary Keyword target for the page–that’s sufficient.
- Optimize and Customize Images
Images are used to grab the attention of your viewers, but they are also powerful tools for SEO as well. Use customized names for each image and meaningful alt tags. While ALT TAGS are not as powerful as they once were in SEO, they still are used for categorization by Google. That means they still matter so use them wisely.
